This post was originally written as a reply to a post over on Joe Huffman's Blog, The View From North Central Idaho. He referred to an article by Camilla Paglia over at "The Daily Caller". What caught my eye was the idea that she was suggesting that the feminist movement insert "operatives" into the church.
My assertion is that they are already there....
I woke up this morning and looked at the weather station data, as I usually do... nearly 5 inches of rain in 2017... which wouldn't be all that unusual except that nearly all of it has happened in the last 36 hours.
In fact, the station, which keeps some data stored, like averages over the last 24 hours, etc... reported that the "rain event", as it call it, began over 20 hours earlier. And that was almost an hour before writing this entry this morning!
I listen to it coming down out there and it sounds like a good, old-fashioned rain storm from my days in the mid-west. Without the thunder and lightening, of course. I miss thunderstorms.
Thankfully, it's been above freezing for the last 48 hours or more, and that will translate into fewer dollars spent on propane to heat the trailer.
I awoke this morning to a chilly trailer. I recalled the heater running around 7:45 just before I fell back to sleep and I was thinking it sure smells like something is burning and my feet, under the blankets were nice and toasty warm, and feeling like they were getting warmer... but I didn't see or hear any evidence of the trailer burning, so fell back to sleep...
